Adobe Flash Player Update Solves Windows 8 1 Not Working Issues

The first major update for Adobe Flash Player in Windows 8.1 brings a set of improvements that should take care of “not working” reports from users Adobe’s Flash player is one of the most used pieces of software in the world and naturally, it is present on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, as well. However, some users have been reporting issues with it, as it was not working after installing Windows 8.1 for many of them. Now, more updates have been made available to solve most of these issues.

This was the first major update, Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.149 Beta, and it also took care of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 users, as it came with the following fixes:

Windows 8 High DPI Displays – Corrects an issue where some content was not scaling with zoom changes
Windows 8.1 Internet Explorer 11 – Corrects an issue where an initial button press was ignored

Windows 7 – Corrects a problem introduced in 11.7.700.224 where Simple Chinese characters were displayed as a box or question mark on the AutoUpdate dialog
Corrects an issue introduced in 11.8.800.94 where the layout of the AutoUpdate notification dialog was incorrect in localized languages
Corrects a problem introduced in 11.9.900.4 that only affected the beta, where HTTP Live Streams would not buffer after an Ad insertion
Corrects an issue where memory usage doubled with Trickplay mode enabled
Windows – Corrects an issue introduced in 11.7.700.164 where the video was not rendering on some systems when using StageVideo with WMODE set to Window
