The design is not very nice
It’s got an aluminum faceplate and a bottom metal mesh for optimum heat dissipation so you can be sure that your laptop or tablets will be cooled down in no time.
However, many people use tablets for hours on end at home or at work and they would very much use a cooling pad for their tablet without worrying about the extra weight.
There is also a more technical explanation: tablets and smartphones use ARM architecture, which is designed for power efficiency, while laptops and desktops use x86 architecture, which focuses on the processing speed.
In other words, the processors in laptops work at higher power levels than those on tablets. Also, tablets are optimized for battery use and cooling pads increase the level of power consumption.
